Is a change of the form or nature of a thing or person into a completely different one by natural or supernatural means. Transformation, change, alterations, conversion, remodeling, and reconstruction.

Such a strange sounding word. But a good definition of what happens to us when we accept Christ as our Savior. It is what takes place in us in the spiritual sense. It is not only instant but also becomes a process as we daily walk with Him and allow a consistent daily renewal in us.

I know I am not the same person as when I accepted Christ as my Savior 57 years ago. I have become much more forgiving, loving and less self-centered over the years. I look at things differently, do differently and speak differently. I am daily learning and the change in me is an ongoing process.

When storm clouds come as they often do, I may become frightened or upset temporarily but I don’t remain there. I turn quickly to the Word and stand on that. It gives me a solid foundation that is unshakable. His Word is the truth and is forever.

Many times as I look at others who are lost in sin, I see myself and where I would be without Christ! But except for His Grace and Mercy, there go I!

If I take a wrong attitude or turn in my life, the Holy Spirit prompts me to stop and reassess the situation while paying attention to new or different factors thereby changing my direction or attitude. He also uses others at times to be a vehicle in this.

He takes us from the ugly cocoon and transforms us into one of His beautiful butterflies. He takes what was meant for our destruction and brings good out of it. Many times He walks us through flood waters meant to overcome us and He holds us above it thereby making it unable to destroy us.

His love is constant and unending to us as His children. That is why He went to Calvary for us. It was to cover our sins and pay the price for them. He then, when we accept Him as Savior and turn from our sins, He brings us home to Him in the spiritual sense. Then at the end of our life, He literally brings us home to Heaven to dwell with Him for all eternity!

I Corinthians 2:9 – But as it is written, eye has not seen, nor ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love Him.
